Very slow.... Many waiting hours, although not so many cars ...

While the bus was stationed, and waiting for other passengers to come I engraved my name on edge of concrete :) wonder if it's still there, let me know guys if you noticed it :)

It’s just a hell of a checkpoint. Extremely long queues (and by that I mean lines for 36-48 hours), disrespectful and slow customs workers, bad infrastructure and low throughput. If your are crossing the border here on a hot or cold day — you are guaranteed to be stuck in boiling hot or freezing blizzard for hours. If you are going to Estonia — opt for Narva or the Finnish border (Vaalimaa, Nijumaa, Imatra) instead

Terrible experience especially surprising political incorrectness, especially about my British husband for whom officer was told what he should talk with him Estonian language. Rudeness and disrespect.

Rude custom officers. Most of them spoke neither English nor understandable Russian. For transit through Estonia less than 24 hours they forced us to pay 200 EUR as they “estimated” the costs of the dog to be 5 times higher than the actual costs (which were confirmed by the contract and bank statement, but they didn’t care). Scam.

My experience for therse borders: typical waiting time on EST part 15-20 minutes. To enter RUS with non- RUS number plate average waiting time 2 hours.

Estonian border lady walked along the cars to inspect, in a very nice polite way. She informed Russia is not letting in any cars. Waiting time at least 1 day, maybe 2 or longer

We arrived at Luhamaa at 11.15 in the morning, Thursday 13rd of July and checked in to the waiting area.There you have to wait (outside), to be called upon. Watch out for your licence plate's number on a screen near the end of the waiting area.Unfortunately, there is no screen in the waiting area inside (there's a cafe and WC), so for those who have a motorcycle, this is bad news.We had pre-booked time for a motorcycle (with Go Swift) at a much later time, but after approximately two hours we were called from the Estonian side to pass the border. From the Estonian side we were ready in about 15 minutes (motorcycles have priority).At the Russian side, we waited approximately for 3 hours at the passport control and then at customs.After passing the Russian border, we exchanged Euro to Rubles in the second petrol station to the right.Then we returned to the first petrol station to arrange for a green card (insurance) for the motorcycle, since the green cards issued in EU is no longer valid in Russia (since 1/6/2023).The staff on both sides is very polite.Hope this information is useful to motorcyclists passing the border.
