The whole structure is dirty but safe.I strongly suggest to bring your own kitchen stuff (ex. Pan, knives and forks, mops,...).No heating in the rooms.Anyway, it’s just 10 minutes far from the city centre, bus station and markets are really close to the building.

It is a decent place to stay. My dorm has three rooms on twin sharing basis, a common kitchen and a bathroom. Wifi facilities included , with central heating too.Apart from that, I made life-long friends here =)

Not so cheap for exchange students who have to pay much more than regular Tartu uni students... But cleaning of the kitchen and bathroom as included. Otherwise it's a really nice and spacious clean dorm. All flats are for 6 people and contain 3 bedrooms. I personally don't have anything to complain about except the price of the rent.

One of the best dormitories of the Tartu. It's the newest, clean, bigger rooms and nice view on both sides. North apartments have nice view on the northern landscape from 3rd floor (sunshine and sunset). Southern apartments having sun all day long with a view on the river and forest on the landscape. Erasmus students reside here, vibrant environment, friendly with hangout times in the lobby. Table tennis facility, bike parking and good laundry room. Above all very good staff. Highly recommended for both short and long term visits!

Beds were already made as we came with my wife at our room, tea can, refrigerator and etc. Everything essential was there also cheap. Soft beds with warm blankets. Thank you for hospitality.

Life in Raatuse depends on who your neighbors are, if they are your type of people then that is fine, if they are not it can be really unbearable to stay in. The first floor of the hostel is a nice place to have fun and hangout with other students.

The fact that they charge exchange students two times more than local students may serve as ultimate proof of the famous Estonian entrepeneurship. Inside looks nice and the building is well-located. Better have luck with your roommate!

My judgement may be slightly skewed (I did have great time in Tartu in general).But I didn't have any problem there, Internet was fine, bathrooms didn't have any problems, kitchens were furnished, everything for a comfortable stay for a student.
